UH appoints director of risk management
John M. Hashimoto was seen as UH director of risk management. He began his position Monday and is responsible for the overall management of risk and management functions for the management of the university, all 10 universities.
Hashimoto is responsible for the monitoring and prevention of exposure at the University of any loss or damage to property, loss of fidelity, responsibility of workers and damages.
As part of that effort, it is to verify the contracts and agreements from the point of view of accountability, as compared to insurance coverage and responsibility. It is also monitored UH management of insurance and TPA and private agents.
Hashimoto, a license as a lawyer since 1991, has held several positions in the city and county of Honolulu as Deputy Assistant Attorney General of the group and advisor.
